Two Pieces of Architecture

Porsche Museum, Stuttgart

The Porsche Museum is far from the generic sheds that once housed cars. It is a result of a competition won by Vienna's Delugan Meissl. Dulugan Meissl is known for their angular, fluid extensions and dramatic forms came up with the idea of the white box raised up on three concrete pillars. The structure is clad in gleaming aluminium panels, with the underside of the box in reflective stainless steel. The main 5,600 square metre exhibition space is formed from an elaborate latticework of immense volumes of steel. The podium section weighs a total of 6,000 tons and contains 30,000 steel beams, costing 100million euro.

House Holman, Durbach Block Architects

This structure sits on the edge of a 70m cliff, the plan of the Holman House refers to Picassos painting "The Bather". It contains a complex series of fluid living spaces set within a perimeter that arcs, folds and stretches in response to the sun, landscape and views. The living and dining areas are cantilevered out over the oceab, allowing dramatic views up and down the coast. The lower floor forms a base that is built from rough stone walls like an extension of the cliff below. These walls continuealong the cliff edge to form a series of terraced gardens and vase shaped rock pool.

Spore Creatures

AntZilla is a harmless creature with not much in terms of defence mechanisms. He likes to blend into his surrounding environment and needs maximum exposure to the sun in in order to survive and regenerate. He is quite a social creature so benefits from large open spaces to entertain his guests.
Spiky. This creature enjoys hunting for his food. He has a spiky backbone to protect himself from his predators. He tends to bury himself underground at the first sign of trouble and when sleeping.

FairyFighter. This creature is brightly coloured which is its weakness, but is provided with wings to escape to the tree tops where she is safe. Easy to spot, but hard to trap.


Ancientador. This creature benefits from camouflaging with its surroundings. It is old and tired. Back in the day, he was able to take any predator but is weak with his age.

Sawrasaurus. A slightly odd creature has sensitive skin and cannot be exposed to the sun for long periods of time or its defences are rendered useless, therefore making its dwelling an imperative place for shelter and means of survival.


Aggrivator. This creature enjoys time by itself, isolated from society, chained to its place of residence because of his anger management issues. Everything it needs to survive is available in the immediate vicinity.

Braroons

A bright and colourful creature. Most of the time it is harmless but is able to defend itself if need be with a sharp skikey ball on the end of its long tail. It can quickly bring any attacker down before they know what hit them. It is a quite a social creature who likes hanging out with its friends.

Opodo

Slightly cross eyey, a bit goofy and slow. This creature is able to roll up into a ball to decend to his underground maze like habitat, and also as a means of protecting itself. Quite shy and likesto be by itself most the time.

Carleonin

Carleonin is a creature who is quite relaxed but very dangerous. He climbs to the top of the trees with the assistance of his 8 arms and drops from a height to kill his prey with his spiked belly.

Mulio

An odd creature that can run at freat speeds. He likes big open spaces to stretch his legs and run about. He is quite clumsy though and needs a dwelling simple in nature. Sun exposure gives him more spots and makes him easier to spot for his pretators. He is a bit of a party animal and needs a place that is quite during the day for him to sleep, preferably underground.

Feleillor

Feleillor is an awkward creature who cannot coordinate the movements of his legs so well. He cant move so quick so luckily he is equiped with a shark set of teeth to deter his attackers. His long arms help him reach for his food and keep his attckers at a distance.
